The Pymatuning Valley High School Music Department held auditions for the spring musical, “Guys and Dolls” in January, and have begun rehearsals for the production which will be held in the PV VMPAC on Friday, March 26th and Saturday, March 27th at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, March 28th at 2:00 p.m.
PV Music Boosters will also host a pre-show dinner on Friday, March 26th. Please note that all tickets will be pre-sale and will be sold separately from the show tickets to help prevent confusion. Specific information about the menu and cost of the dinner will be announced by the music boosters.
Maribeth Miltner, director for the production says that there will be no parts available this year for students who are not in high school, but due to the success of the community production of “Annie, Jr”, she anticipates a large audience of younger students. Mrs. Pamela Amy and Mrs. Colleen Sabeh will be assisting Miltner with this year’s show along with student assistant director, Justin Dye.
“We are planning on using high school musicians in our orchestra again this year”, she said, “they added so much to last year’s “King and I” that I can’t see us NOT having full accompaniment again this year.”
Seniors Jake Sabeh, Emily Somerville play romantic lead roles of Sky Masterson and Sergeant Sarah Brown. Senior Tiffany Payne and junior Alex Jones provide the comic relief of Miss Adelaide and her long-time beau Nathan Detroit.
